Tips:
1. A little long thumb fingernail definitely helps to make the sound that comes out of it resonate pretty clear and sweet; and also make your fingers feel no pain for long time playing.
2. Do not leave the Kalimba instrument in direct sunlight, rain or wetness.
3. Handle the instrument carefully, dropping or bumping the instrument may cause the metal keys to shift and get out of tune.

Don’t quite understand how the ordering system work – I ordered in on ranchguitar website then you put the order on amazon? I guess shipping is faster that way? The Kalimbas look smaller than I expected (I did not measure it to compare to others) but pretty to look at. One of them I had to tune, the keys seem to move side to side, don’t know if that’s normal. Keys are very close together but still playable. They sound nice but the high keys do not ring as well as lower keys.

I know almost nothing about musical instruments and playing music in general, but I decided to give the Kalimba a try and went with Ranch Guitar’s Kalimba because the letters were engraved on the keys. I am very happy with my purchase! Everything was tuned properly when it arrived, and I was able to learn Twinkle Twinkle little star out of the manual in about an hour. I would definitely recommend this product!
